Richard Possett is a forty-five year experienced entrepreneur and seasoned executive from the international financial and insurance services industries. As a multi-faceted businessman, Richard has spent many decades’ successfully managing people into new endeavors and to greater heights of performance. Throughout a long and industrious career, his polestar has been the precepts of the power-driven persona as manifested in the ‘Power~Series’ books.

Richard was born and raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He lived and worked for five years in Los Angeles, California, before moving to Tulsa, Oklahoma where he and his family have resided for the last twenty years.

Richard graduated from Western Michigan University with a BBA degree earning a major in accountancy. He is a Certified Public Accountant, executive consultant, accredited financialist, regulated mortgage loan originator, and past SEC-registered securities representative and licensed insurance agent.

Richard is a former international rugby player. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He has been married to his best friend for more than forty-two marvelous years. Richard and Marilyn have three wonderful adult children (Nicole, Richard II, and Michael); three beautiful young grandchildren (Braden, Rebekah, and Hailey) and a great son-in-law, Daryl. Richard’s interests are reading, writing, and walking with his wife and their two golden retrievers, Jordie and Doolie.

Marilyn Possett is a Licensed Psychotherapist practicing at Laureate Psychiatric Clinic and Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Her focus is in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy. Marilyn has had extensive training in marriage and family dynamics, situational diagnostics, and treatment plan design and utilization. Furthermore, she has a long-term and wide-range of experience in helping people with their interpersonal relationships.

Born and raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Marilyn moved with her husband and children to Los Angeles, California, and then to the Midwest where they have lived for over twenty years. Marilyn has been married to her husband, Richard, for more than forty-two years. In addition to her three children (Nicole, Richard, and Michael) and son-in-law, Daryl, she has three grandchildren, Braden, Rebekah, and Hailey. Her hobbies are: digital photography, walking, training, and playing with her two Golden Retrievers; and, of course, spending much quality time with her grandchildren.

While raising her children, managing the household, and moving around the country with her family, Marilyn attended various colleges throughout the U.S.A. Along with receiving an Associates Degree from Grand Rapids Community College, she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Family Relations and Child Development from Oklahoma State University and a Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of Oklahoma. Marilyn is licensed to practice individual, group and marital therapy. She has given presentations and written articles on interpersonal skills, stress management, depression and anxiety; and, she has co-authored a training manual on Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy.
